Underdog signs Missouri market access deal with Kansas City Royals

Underdog and Kansas City Royals Partnership
Underdog, one of the fastest-growing sports companies in the United States, has announced a new multi-year market access deal with the Kansas City Royals, a major professional baseball team based in Missouri.

The agreement not only provides market access but also involves collaborative marketing campaigns, philanthropic initiatives, and fan engagement programs. While Underdog’s betting license is currently under review by the Missouri Gaming Commission, the company is already enabling Missouri sports fans to download its app and participate in fantasy sports, positioning itself for the upcoming launch.

This move places Underdog among other major players like FanDuel, DraftKings, and Fanatics, who have also secured market access in Missouri. Brooks Sherman, President of Business Operations for the Royals, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its role in strengthening fan engagement through programs like Bark at the Park and the Underdog Hot Dog Derby.

Stacie Stern, Underdog’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Partnerships, shared the excitement, emphasizing the partnership’s potential to enhance the fan experience across Missouri as the state prepares to launch its legal sports betting market.
